• What is a Purpose Bag

  Purpose Bag is like a metal skip bin, but wayyy cheaper !
  Its a fairly large sized flexible heavy duty skip bag .

  Ideal for all sorts of waste, house waste, small renovation projects, garden cleanouts or building sites .

  Fill it up, will collect !

• Why should i use a Purpose Bag ?

  You can use a Purpose bag as a more convenient and affordable substitute for a skip bin !

  Its  IDEAL for DIY renovations leftovers, landscaping, gardening or green waste, general home rubbish and junk , great for garage clear outs, construction site clean-ups, demolition waste and much more .

  • Convenient to store ( it comes packed in medium sized bag )
  • Take your time filling it up – no time pressure!
  • The location is flexible; you can choose the best spot for your needs.

• How does a Purpose Bag work?

  We’ll deliver the Purpose Bag right to your doorstep.

  You can fill the 3 cubic metre bag with all your general waste, from old appliances to mattresses ,green waste, off cuts, old building materials and much much more.
  Once you’re done, just let us know , and we’ll pop in to pick it up.

  It’s as easy as that first coffee of the day!

• What rubbish can go into my Purpose Bag?

  You can use your Purpose Bag for anything involved with a “general cleanup around the house and section” that is neither liquid nor of a hazardous nature. 

  This can include demolition waste, construction waste, garden waste, metal, timber, white ware,  old furniture, electronics and more.

• Do you service my area?

  Use our address search on our website to find out if we service your address. We are usually able to help, no matter the location. Best to talk to one of our team members.

• How long can I keep the bag?

  You can keep the bag for as long as you want after purchasing. You might even want to store it in your cupboard for a while. Once you have filled your Purpose Bag and are ready for collection give us a call or book online.

• Where can I place my Purpose Bag?

  Anywhere on your property that our trucks can access. Please see here on how to place the bag correctly

  Did you know you can move your bag around your property as long as you don’t overfill it at the start. Final position should be where our truck can get to. 

  Remember not to place under trees or powerlines. 

• How long will it take for my bag to arrive after purchase?

  We will do our best to get it to you as fast as possible. We sometimes even do same day deliveries. If you live a bit further out from our depot in Hamilton, the bag should be with you in 3 days.

• How long will it take for my bag to be collected?

  Once you have booked a collection we’ll collect your bag within 1-5 business days. 

  For example, if you contacted us on Monday, your bag could be collected anytime that week. However, delays do happen from time to time.

  If you require an urgent collection, call us and we will find a solution for you.

• Can I put a mattress in the bag?

  Yes, we do accept mattresses. Our bag is big enough to fit a queen size mattress. 

  Make sure the mattress is not on top of your rubbish. If the bag is overfilled we might need to leave your mattress behind. 

• The weight allowance is 750kg, how do I know how much 750kg is?

  Did you know that the weight of a giraffe is around 700 – 800 kg? That shows 750kg is heaps! As long as you don’t fill your bag with lots of dirt and concrete you are more likely below the limit.

• What happens if you go over the weight limit?

  If your bag is over the weight limit, our team might not be able to collect it.

  We will need to leave your bag at your property till you have removed some of the rubbish and content. Unfortunately you will be charged a service fee for the time we spent coming out.

  If you think your bag might be overweight, please contact us before the collection so we can find a solution for you.

• Can more than one bag be picked up at a time?

  Yes, simply book how many collections you need and we remove them all at once.

• Can I leave my bag outside?

  Our Purpose Bag can be left outside.  The bag is designed to let water seep out. 

  However, It’s always best to let it dry after heavy rain or even better, put a tarp over your bag to keep it dry and light. 

• Do I get the bag back?

  No. Unfortunately our Purpose Bag is a single use product. However we are working hard on finding a local recycling solution. Stay tuned for some updates soon.
